Personal view of Dim Sum

In this section I am going to give you a personal view of dim sum from someone who grew up in Hong Kong and have lived the last 40 years in the US and mostly in the San Francisco Bay area. I have also extensive travelling experience all over the world. I've been to about half of the countries in Asia and all 50 states in the US. When describing any subject there are always many angles looking at the subject. For example the civil war looks very different from the north, from the south and from someone outside of the US. So this section describes dim sum from my own perspective base on my background and culture plus many days of research on the internet on the facts of dim sum.

I will describe what I know about dim sum and my own taste bud reaction to all the different dishes. Again this is one persons own taste and does not reflex on how you may like or dislike each dishes. In my family 2 of us loves sweet dim sum and 2 others does not like sweet foods. So in our household most of the sweet foods like chocolates are consumed by only 2 of the 4 members. I happens to like most dim sum dishes. Please try different dishes but pick the ones you most likely will enjoy. If you like shrimp, try the shrimp dishes first.
